It's the liner that makes a KD aboveground pool so EXTRAORDINARY. KD pool liners are constructed of a poly-reinforced material that is very similar to what's used in the manufacturing of the world-renown Zodiac boats - this liner actually resists ripping and tearing. At the core of a KD soft sided pool is a tuff pool liner that is a tightly woven polyester scrim. Thousands of tiny multi-fiber strands criss-cross together to make one of the most incredible liner materials ever made. This same technology was actually used in designing bullet-proof vests!

• Liner :: The super tuff pool liner is made of 28 gauge polyester reinforced fabric with a 20x20 strand per square inch weave woven polyester core. A liquid vinyl that contains UV inhibitors and anti-fungicides is then spread over the polyester weave. This creates a durable one piece membrane versus a typical non-reinforced, embossed vinyl liner used in metal frame above ground pools.
  
  

Because no woven fabric can prevent water from passing through, the fabric is given a co-polymer coating that is applied to both sides of the fabric as a hot liquid. The liquid is smoothed into the fabric and fed between rollers, which firmly seals the openings in the weave. These characteristics ensure longer life and durability to the substrate fabric.

• Strength :: KD's super tuff pool liners have approximately 275 lbs. per square inch tensile strength. KD portable pools are designed with a unique contoured sidewall that provides equal water pressure throughout the pool. The contour actually pushes the force of the water back into the pool so that there is an equal amount of pressure downward as there is outward.

• Support Structure :: Although it's a soft sided pool, the snap together support structure (horizontal ribs, uprights and strap connectors) are made of highly durable anodized aluminum. Tee connectors are made of solid core aluminum.
